Now that I have extra time, my buddy Ciro (pronounced Cee-do) is helping to push me to  "enhance" the blogs and websites we have been dabbling with.  He has been teaching me SEO or Search Engine Optimization techniques.  These are techniques used to get your website organically to the top of search engine results.  The reason for this is because there are some products out there that I believe in and want to sell using affiliate marketing.  This means using SEO techniques to drive traffic to my site to sell products on other peoples sites. It's a great alternative to stocking product and having those associated carrying costs. 

I have to admit that while I didn't believe him but some of the sites I was playing around with over the last two months have been getting some traffic. It has also been fun because these sites represent things I am interested in so it's more like an escape than work. The next step for me is to tey to build up more traffic and generate conversions or sales.  The first step to generate better search engine results is to generate fresh website content.  I will be using this blog as my anchor to generate fresh content and develop incoming links with social networking sites.
